While investigating
a mob-hit style murder, Sara is pulled into a web of deception and
conspiracy when it is discovered that her friend Gabriel Bowman
was the last person the dead man contacted, leaving him a cryptic
message on his answering machine. Gabriel deciphers the message
and he and Sara discover what the dead man died for: a canister
of 8 mm film. Determined to find the killer, Sara and Gabriel have
the film developed, but not before they are targeted by the same
murderous thugs. Meanwhile, Sara is visited by by the ghost of JFK,
who alludes to a government conspiracy and implores her to be courageous.
The FBI becomes involved in the murder investigation when an agent
is killed and Sara is blamed for his murder. Back at the precinct,
Danny and Jake clash when Jake becomes friendly with the Feds and
Danny accuses him of selling Sara out. On the run from both the
FBI and the assassins, Sara is captured by the latter. Refusing
to give up Gabriel and the film, Sara finds herself on the other
side of the interrogation table and the wrong side of a gun. With
no other recourse, Sara calls on the Witchblade and takes out her
captors. Little does she know that she - and the Blade - have been
caught on film. When it is revealed that her captors are top-secret
meta-government agents, will Sara hand over the film footage of
JKF's assassination -- rather than have her own secret revealed?
