Bill McDonald - Plays Jerry Orlinski Black Dragons (Ep 1.01 Parallax) - A unit of soldiers used as test subjects in an experimental warfare program. They were given psychotropic drugs and made to watch films designed to induce obedience and aggression. The soldiers' reptilian brains (source of all fear and aggression) are larger than usual, which makes them very sensitive to certain frequencies of sound and strobing lights. They can be charged or disabled depending on the sights and sounds around them. Ian Nottingham and Hector "Moby" Mobius were part of the 11 member unit. Occasional side effects from the aggression and intelligence enhancing drugs included delusions of grandeur, excessive aggression and paranoia. Vorschlag Industries (owned by Kenneth Irons) was involved in the experiment. The soldiers were designed to be lethal and loyal to their master (Irons). When the black dragons became more loyal to each other, Irons ordered Ian to eliminate the rest of the unit. Their totem or talisman is a bullet engraved with a black bull. They use those bullets when someone's obviously guilty and the system can't be trusted to administer justice. If one of their members sees a White Bulls casing, they walk away. Bulls members go through an initiation to prove their loyalty to the group (Ep. 1.07 Periculum). Jake joins the White Bulls (Ep. 1.08 Thanatopsis). James Pezzini describes the White Bulls as a corrupt secret society within the NYPD. They rule by intimidation and abuse the badge in every possible way. They use a bullet engraved with a black bull if they want to assasinate one of their enemies. If their members find this round, they desist in the investigation. They've been operating in the department for decades and go up in the ranks.
